He Shoots...

He Scores!

The Braves whipped the Winton Woods Warriors 4 to 1 last night. Leading the scoring for Talawanda was Nathaneal Robinson with two goals. Kody Wilhelm and Aldemar Motta also found the back of the old 'onion bag.' The win puts the Varsity team at 2 and 1 in league play.

The JV team tied one goal to one: Sophomore Ethan Saulnier the lone goal scorer.

Centerville is next on the schedule. Kickoff is 1:00 JV and 3:00 Varsity at the Oxford Community Park.

Should We Talk About the Weather?

From 100+ to rain and mud the Braves have weathered it all in recent weeks. The play on the field has mirrored the changes in the temperature. After a muddy loss to Norwood in the final seconds the team bounced back to tie 7th ranked Wyoming on their field. Similarly the JV team put up 6 against the Indians only to give up that many to Moeller Tuesday. Like the weather, the only thing that is certain is that if you give it a day its bound to change. Forecast: 100% chance of Winning!

Here Come the Braves!

After a successful preseason with wins over Valley View and Edgewood by a combined score of 7 to 1, Talawanda won their regular season opener exterminating the Monroe Hornets 1 to nothing. Nathaneal Robinson scored the lone goal in the game, finding the angle after streaking down the left side. Defenders Jared Coffin, Andrew Marks, Ben Hesford, Alex Danielson, and Goalie Kevin Jewett preserved the shutout.

The Braves travel to Kings High School Saturday to play the Knights.

Brothers Cup

Hermano v. Hermano! The annual alumni game has become a family affair when you look at the number of brothers who have donned the Braves uniform. The Young Upstarts got an early two goal lead but in the end the Moldy Oldies came out on top 3 to 2. Thanks to all the players, families, and fans who continued the tradition. GO BRAVES SOCCER!
